NVIDIA GTX 1050 and GTX 1050Ti Gaming Experience
« on: July 20, 2017, 10:53:40 AM »

MSI pioneers only the extraordinary gaming machines for your gaming pleasure. MSI is the first to intro the gaming laptops with the latest Intel 7th Gen CPU and GeForce GTX10 series GPU in the market. Gamers can get the best performance out of these two new platforms only on MSI gaming laptops.
As a true gaming legend, MSI seeks to uphold its tradition to always offer the latest and the exclusive gaming features to fulfill gamers every desire.

The Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti & 1050 are mainstream GPUs based on the Pascal architecture and was announced recently. The notebook version differs a bit in terms of clocks, but is equipped with 768 CUDA cores, just like the desktop model. The performance of the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti can vary quite a lot depending on the cooling performance of the laptop. It can be just as fast as the desktop model with the exclusive Cooler Boost 4. The GeForce GTX 965M and the regular GTX 1050 are beaten by around 30%, so the GTX 1050 Ti is comparable to a GTX 970M in general. They are therefore the upper mainstream GPUs and sufficient for High/Medium quality at Full HD games. Lets see how these two GPUs perform on the following popular game titles.

Watch Dogs 2

1050Ti/1050 don't offer enough performance for Watch Dogs 2 with 1080p resolution. If you wanna have a smooth gameplay on Watchdogs 2, we suggest to you play at WHD resolution with medium graphical settings.

Dishonored 2

Dishonored 2 should run at or above 35 fps at 1080p resolution and high preset. If you are looking forward more fluent gameplay, we suggest you play at WHD resolution with medium graphical settings.

Titanfall 2

Titanfall 2 can run around 60fps at 1080p resolution with high graphical settings. If you are looking forward a fluent 1080 game, you definitely cant miss this game.

Battlefield 1

Battlefield 1 is a quiet exciting game, but even 1050Ti just has acceptable performance at the 1080p resolution with high graphical settings.

In summary, 1050Ti & 1050 are the first cards in Nvidias 10 Series which dont support VR gameplay. Users should be able to game at 1080p resolution at a decent clip on MSI GTX 1050Ti/1050 gaming laptop. Once you want to play 3A game titles or VR games, youll need the GTX 1060 or above models to do this. If you are satisfied with medium loading game, the laptops with Nvidia GTX 1050Ti/1050 is a budgetary choice.
