[How To] Uninstall driver and application properly in Windows 10
To uninstall the driver or application properly, please refer to the table below. Choose the uninstallation method according to the software is going to be uninstalled.
 


  • *1: Skip this method if the driver cannot be found in Control Panel.
  • *2: UWP applications can only be downloaded on Microsoft Store, such as Nahimic 3 and Killer Control Center; they can only be uninstalled in Windows Settings Panel.

Remove driver/software in Control Panel
1. On the Windows Start menu, enter Control Panel in the search box and select Control Panel from the results.

2.    Select Programs > Programs and Features

3.    Right click on the program which is going to be removed and select Uninstalled/Change.
  • Here we take Realtek HD Audio Driver for example.

4.    Follow the directions on the screen to uninstall the program.


Uninstall devices and driver in Device Manager

1.    On the Windows Start menu, enter Device Manager in the search box and select Device Manager from the results.

2.    Expand the device section which is going to be uninstalled
 
3.    Right click on the device and select Uninstall device Here we take Touchpad device as example.

4.    Check Delete the driver software for this device and then click on Uninstall

5.    Restart the system to finish the uninstallation.


Uninstall UWP apps in Windows Settings Panel
There are few UWP version applications can only be downloaded on Microsoft Store, such as Nahimic 3 and Killer Control Center; they can only be removed in Windows Settings Panel. Refer to the following steps for uninstalling UWP application.
 
1.    Click on the Windows Start button and then click on Settings icon.

2.    Select Apps in Windows Settings Panel

3.    Click on the applcation which is going to be uninstalled, and then click on Uninstall.
Here we take Killer Control Center as example.

4.    A remind message will show up, click on Uninstall to uninstall the application.
